The Mexican food was good, and the hamburger was good. Surprisingly the fries were good and crispy. The portions are reasonable and the prices good. If you're looking for a 5 star experience don't come here, but if you want decent food at a decent price and can get past the looks, you'll like this place.
Incredibly delicious food and good service. The owners were there working and gave us (as tourists) a special oral history of the place. Authentic and recommended.
I must admit, I thought this place was closed when I walked past at 7pm on a Saturday - but I tried the door, and it was open, and I'm glad it was. Fine dining this is not, but nor is it expensive. In fact, it's an absolute bargain. For $12 I had the combination plate and a beer, and I didn't leave hungry. Actually it was rather good. If you find yourself in Holbrook (I was at the Wigwam Motel), then you really should come here.
We read reviews and decided to try this restaurant. When we walked in it looked dated and dirty. However, our table was clean. The waitress was extremely friendly and good. Being the only one there, she was working her butt off, but she checked with us frequently. She brought chips and salsa - be forewarned! The salsa will burn your mouth. Even my husband who likes anything hot, said it was too hot.
Great spicy food. The Grand Canyon amber ale beer was really nice. The dark side of this visit was the waitress, she was really rude acting as she didn't want to serve us.
Good for Holbrook. Down home family food! Family ran, best servers ever! Delicious food! Including awesome Mexican chilis, Navajo tacos and fry bread! Affordable too! Get your kicks. . .
