Great proximity to local attachment. Our site was private with 2 patios,padded furniture, fire pit and gas grill.stockade fences between the sites made them private.
This was our first time at KOA campground and I couldn't be more pleased. The place is super clean and staff is friendly. If you pull in after office hours they do leave your key and a map for you which is nice. They also had 2.99 all you can eat pancakes and coffee! What a steal. It's close to the Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, and little old town Holbrook. Did I mention how clean the bathrooms are!!! This campground has a spot for tents, RV's and it has cabins. All at an affordable price.
Pretty great KOA. Tent sites have actual grass and power outlets. Convenient location for the Petrified Forest National Park, and an awesome Cowboy dinner, and pancake breakfast. Get the petrified toast, you won't regret it. Staff was super kind and helpful. Great place to stay!
Major upgrades from the first time we were there about three years ago. Very frendly. Food is good. Sites are a fair size. Great for a couple of days.
The sprinklers near the campsites are timed, so be careful when setting up your tent. Also, there was an intense sewage smell from night to morning.
Not right next to the Petrified Forest National Park - next to the highway and about 30 minutes away from the NP. There was continuing construction at the KOA when we visited, and a wind advisory.
The cabins are well-insulated. There's a picnic area with a sink and a camp stove, so that was a welcome surprise. Good selection of porch swings and playground swings. The women's bathrooms are clean and well-kept - not so much for the men's.
